Cyto-Facto Inc. provides services for manufacturing, development, and quality control testing of gene and cell preparations

Shin Kawamata received Ph.D. in Pathology from Kyoto University in Japan. Shin worked at Novartis Research Institute, Wakayama Red Cross Hospital and Kyoto University Hospital, and was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. From 2002, Shin worked as a chief researcher at the previous organization of Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation at Kobe (FBRI), and since 2016, Shin had worked as the director of Research & Development Center for Cell Therapy (RDC), FBRI. Current position from April 2023.

Hajime Yamaguchi received degree in economics from Osaka University in Japan and has US Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). Hajime worked at departments of accounting and investment/loans for overseas companies of a bank, intermediary financial services of Fidelity International Limited, a manufacturing company of electronic parts as a head of the corporate strategy, and a manufacturing company of precision measuring instruments for Japan, the US and China as a global CFO. Hajime moved as a head of finance of CMO Division at RDC FBRI at 2020 and concurrently served as deputy head of CMO Division in 2022. Current position from April 2023.

Takeaki Kubo received Ph.D. in Science from Kobe University in Japan. After working as a researcher in Department of Biology, Washington University in St. Louis, Takeaki worked at Japan Society for the Promotion of Science as a research fellowship, Kyoto University as a researcher and research and development of J-ARM, and led cell culture development at Fujifilm Cell Trust Animal Therapeutics. In 2019, Takeaki started working at RDC FBRI as Product Steward and a head of cell processing and concurrently served as a head of project management in 2022. Current position from April 2023. 

Masaya Baba received Engineering degree from Doshisha University in Japan. Masaya　joined Ciba-Geigy Japan (currently Novartis Pharma Inc.) in 1997, and held successive positions as information security officer, IT operations management, and production headquarters IT manager. In 2019, he started working at the RDC FBRI as an IT manager in the CMO Division and served as chief information officer in RDC and a leader of CytoFactory 4.0 project in 2021. Current position from April 2023.

Tomoya Nagata graduated the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Tokyo. After working as a business strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company and as a bio/healthcare investment lead at FIL Capital Management (HK) Ltd., Tomoya founded D3LLC and became its representative partner. In July 2023, Tomoya became a director of Cyto-facto Inc.
Tomoya also serves as an executive officer of the Business Model Society and as an advisor for the Moonshot Research and Development System.

Yumiko Murakami received MBA from Harvard Business School, MA from Stanford University and BA from Sophia University.
Yumiko is the former head of the OECD Tokyo Centre. Prior to the OECD, she worked for 20 years in the global financial industry, mostly as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in New York, London and Tokyo.  She is a leading authority on a wide range of economic policy issues such as corporate governance, tax guidelines, diversity, education, trade and innovation.  She sits on several Government advisory panels, including Prime Minister Kishida’s panel on “the New Form of Capitalism”.
In May 2021, Yumiko became General Partner of MPower Partners Fund L.P. 
In April 2024, Yumiko became a director of Cyto-facto Inc.
